How do I make a booking at The Tempest?

Is the Tempest accessible?

The Tempest has step free access and an accessible toilet on the lower floor. Both terraces are accessible and we have added an order to table option on every table too.

The upstairs of the Tempest has further seating, toilets and a function room with a bar. The upstairs area can only be accessed via 12 regular sized steps.

What’s the booking deposit?

For regular table bookings, there’s no charge. We just require a card authorisation and at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. You can cancel directly through your confirmation email, or simply drop us a quick message. A fee will only apply if we don’t receive your cancellation in advance.

To secure a party booking, we’ll take a deposit. This is non-refundable if you cancel, but will come off your final bill after your event. The remaining balance is due closer to the date (we’ll confirm all amounts when you enquire).

What’s the maximum group size you can host?

From intimate dinners of 10 in Alto, to full takeovers of 200 upstairs. Our terrace is also available for hire if you wanted an event for over 200 guests.

Do you offer sit-down meals as well as buffets?

Yes! We offer full food menus, buffet spreads, and drinks packages.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Absolutely. Just let us know when booking and our kitchen will make sure everyone’s looked after.

How late can our party go on?

We’re a late-night venue, so you can keep the good times rolling well into the night.

Can we decorate the space?

Yes - You’re welcome to bring your own decorations - from fairy lights to a full themed setup. Just check in with us first in case we already have something in place.

CAN I HAVE ENTERTAINMENT OR A DJ?

Absolutely! Room 2 is fully set up with DJ and AV equipment, so you can bring your own DJ or we can help recommend one. Other entertainment we can help with ideas and bookings

Do you do office parties as well as private gatherings?

Of course - whether it’s a corporate event, a birthday bash, or a family celebration, we’ve got the right space and packages.
